Recent Work
2020-Now
I have continued the idea of experimenting with different mediums to keep things "fresh" and my creative mind flowing with ideas. I found I illustrate more traditionally feminine figures, use bright colors (especially blue), and use various line weights for my outlines. During this time I also started selling my work online and creating work for that has been a fun challenge. I have become a lot more uh...vulgar/angry in recent years and I tend to use that as an inspiration point at times. Bold, loud, and unapologetic. I strive to be 110% myself and have that come through my work and have it be an example to others to embrace who they are and be their true authentic selves.
After I Got My Decorative Placemat (Post Grad)
2018-2020
Like most artists, I struggled to find not only a career in my field, but also any drive to create. Since there was no GPA to worry about, I had no urgency or reason to create. To get out of this rut, I pushed myself by trying different mediums and art challenges to give myself guidelines and structure. Using unconventional mediums like hot dogs to paint or mixing eyeshadow with a solvent to make it a paint, etc. These experiments helped me find more of "my voice", and pushed my work into a more bold direction.
Schooling Showcase
2015-2018
This is the body of work I created while I was obtaining my fine arts degree. Looking back, I wish I had taken it more seriously, but I am still proud of some of the work I produced during this time. Lots of figures, color experimentation, and discovering the screen printing process. I was taking figure drawing, color theory, digital imaging, and design fundamentals. I had professors push me to go balls to the wall and expand my horizons, while others told me I should "reconsider my major." Clearly I didn't listen to some.
